Bookingjini, a Bhubaneshwar-based online platform that allows hotels to generate direct booking on its platform, has scored Rs 3 crores in its seed round funding from Mumbai Angels Network, Apurva Salarpuria, and some other angel investors.
The new round funding, which was led by Apurva Slarpuria, director of Salarpuria Group, has also witnessed the participation of 18 investors from Mumbai Angels Networks, Bhubaneswar Angels and some others.
BookingJini, which is founded by Sibasish Mishra in 2017, “Allow the hoteliers to maximize their revenue from direct online booking and reduce the cost of acquisition by using its marketing automation and experience engine.”
Speaking on the investment in the BookingJini, Apurva Salarpuria Director of Salarpuria Group said that, “Bookingjini has the potential to change the way the small and medium-sized hotels do business in future, and we are excited to back the passionate team led by Sibashish.”
Whereas commenting on the fundraising, Sibasish Mishra, Co-founder of Bookingjini, has said that “We are looking at utilizing a major part of the fund towards strengthening our products and marketing.”
Adding more on the investment, Nandini Mansinghka, CEO and Co-founder of Mumbai Angels Network, in its statement, said, “We are excited about raising funds for a startup failing from Bhubaneshwar and the potential it holds.”
