In an aim to tackle with the fake news on its platform, Facebook-owned Instant Messaging platform WhatsApp Messenger has banned the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Leader and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament CM Ramesh from its platform for violating the WhatsApp terms and conditions.
While the WhatsApp haven’t clarified why it has banned the account of CM Rajesh on its platform.
CM Rajesh, however, said that “I have never abused WhatsApp’s ToS nor I have sent or forwarded any fake news or objectionable content to anyone on WhatsApp.
Adding to this he said, “I will take this matter to court and will also raise this issue in Parliament too.”
