Mechanical and industrial engineering are two different fields that share almost the same practices and approaches. Mechanical engineers are professionals who deal with the development, design, and production of mechanical systems especially power-producing machines such as air-conditioning, refrigeration, material handling systems, elevators, machine tools, etc.

Industrial engineers determine efficacious ways to help organizations such as increasing efficiency of production, quality check, making cost-effective, and stepping up employee productivity. They work as a bridge between organizational goals and performance.

Mechanical as well as industrial engineers have long been in great demand. And it’s a well-known fact that studying Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in Germany is one of many foreign students‘ most treasured dreams. As a result, it has become a hub for people seeking to further their studies in Mechanical Engineering. Industrial engineering is in huge demand as Industry 4.0 brought the latest technology. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, technological engineering, or general engineering.

A mechanical engineering degree gives international students many enriching employment opportunities like:

Mechanical Engineers: work to undertake the design, drawing, installation, or processing of machinery and equipment at factory buildings or mechanical engineering companies.

Designing Consultant: work for operating, or repairing machines, mechanical devices, or programming CNC machines.

Technical and managerial staff at the production: are responsible for the technical management, supervision, and control of industrial production processes.

Business and Service units: in this mechanical engineering serving national security and defense.

Aerospace industry: one can work in research, design or production, operation, and maintenance machinery.

Petrochemical companies: one can work in chemical production or support businesses like building new plants or developing new treatment technologies.

Electronics industry: one can work designing and manufacturing equipment, and components for fields from automotive to medicine and military

Railway industry: one can work for designing, building or managing, and maintaining rail system components and tracking electrical systems and train control systems.

Expected salary in Germany

Germany’s mechanical sector is extensive, and there are several opportunities for industrial engineers therein. The beginning yearly compensation will be approximately 52,000 euros (44.2 Lacs INR), and it will increase as you rise professionally.

If you want to pursue engineering in Germany some colleges that can be best suitable are:

RWTH Aachen University, Technical University Munich, PFH German Uni Hamburg, University of Stuttgart, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and Technical University Berlin.

For mechanical candidates, Germany is one of the top priorities. International exposure, affordable education, easy part-time jobs, and an ample number of jobs makes it a demanding destination.
