Karnataka Govt Clears 91 Industrial Investment Proposals Worth Rs 7,659.52 Crore

Karnataka’s State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) has given the nod to 91 industrial investment proposals valued at Rs 7,659.52 crore during its recent meeting. These projects have the potential to generate employment opportunities for approximately 18,146 individuals within the state.

Led by M.B. Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development in the Karnataka Government, the SLSWCC approved 26 projects, each involving investments exceeding Rs 50 crore, with a cumulative worth of Rs 5,750.73 crore. These ventures are expected to create 13,742 job openings.

Some of the investors who secured approvals for their projects include Maruti Suzuki India, Aequs Consumer, South West Mining, Tata Semiconductor, and Krypton (India) Solutions Private Ltd.

Out of the total 91 proposals, approximately 57 investment projects fall in the range of Rs 15 crore to Rs 50 crore, amounting to Rs 1,144.94 crore. These projects hold the potential to generate 4,404 job opportunities within Karnataka.

Furthermore, the committee also granted approval for eight additional projects, involving an investment of Rs 763.85 crore.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of Commerce and Industries Dr. S Selvakumar, Gunjan Krishna, Commissioner for Industrial Development, Mohammad Mohsin, Secretary, Department of Labour, Dr. M Mahesh, CEO, KIADB, Darshan H V, Director, Department of IT/BT, and Doddabasavaraju, Managing Director of Karnataka Udyog Mitra.
