Zydus Cadila, one of the leading pharmaceutical company on Tuesday, announced the launch of its insomnia drug called Ramelteon tablets, in the US market.
In a filing at BSE, the company said that “Zydus Cadila has launched the 8 mg Ramelteon Tablets in the US, after receiving the final approval from the USFDA.”
“Ramelteon tablets is used to treat insomnia that is associated with having trouble falling in the sleep,” the company said.
“While the drug will be manufactured at the group’s formulations manufacturing center at SEZ, Ahmedabad. The company now has 270 approvals out of 360 ANDAs since the commencement of the filing process in FY 200-04,” the statement added.
