Briefing the press on the Coronavirus development in the South Africa, Dr. Abdou Salam Gueye, Director of Emergency Of WHO, said, “The Southern African region has reported 55% of Surge in COVID-19 cases after discovering the Omicron variant.”

“While new cases are increasing in Southern Africa, All the other subregions have reported a decline in the number of cases this week compared to a week ago,” He said.
