SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar jibe at pay cut remark: Will have to live on the street

Taking a jibe on the possible pay-cut remark for their leadership teams, State Bank of India (SBI) chairman Rajnish Kumar said, “Road pe aake rehna padega, pehle hi itni kam milti hai (I will have to start living on the street, anyway I earn so little.)”

The question for the possible pay cut was asked during a conference call with the analysts on Friday, “To which Kumar on a lighter note said.”

According to the State Bank’s annual report disclosures for the financial year 2019, Rajnish Kumar’s annual remuneration stood at Rs 29,53,75.
