San Francisco reports the first case of Omicron variant of COVID-19

Briefing the city on Wednesday afternoon, Mayor of San Francisco, London Breed has confirmed that, “We have discovered our first “Omicron variant” case, not only here in San Francisco, but the entire country.”

The mild symptoms of the Omicron COVID-19 variant were discovered in a traveler who returned to California from South Africa on 22 November.
