In an effort to boost the sports infrastructure, Indian External Minister S Jaishankar has offered a $40 million in Line of Credit to the Maldives.

Speaking at an event at Ekuveni Stadium, S Jaishankar said, “I am happy to announce that to support the development of sports infrastructure to fulfill the interests and aspirations of the Maldivian people. India has offered a standalone Line of Credit of $40 million for sports infrastructure in the Maldives.”
“India is a trusted reliable partner,” he added.
