India-based online doctor consulting platform, Practo has announced the appointment of Srijesh Kumar as its Global Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO).
In his new role, he will lead product and technology functions across the organisation, overseeing platform development, product innovation, and the integration of artificial intelligence across the healthcare journey.
He brings over two decades of experience in product engineering and platform development. Prior to joining Practo, he served as Vice President at Salesforce, where he led product engineering within the Industries Cloud division. He has also held leadership roles at Expedia Group and Punchh, and earlier worked at Adobe and Microsoft.
The appointment comes as Practo expands its focus on building outcome-driven healthcare systems, with increased use of AI to improve how care is accessed, delivered, and experienced across markets.
Speaking about the appointment of Kumar, Shashank ND, Founder and CEO of Practo, said, “Srijesh brings deep expertise in building platforms at a global scale with a strong product mindset, and his experience will be invaluable as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in healthcare. I’m excited to have him join an exceptional group of leaders at Practo who are collectively shaping the next phase of our growth and impact across markets, and I look forward to what we will build together from here.”
Commenting on the joining, Srijesh Kumar said, “What drew me to Practo is the opportunity to work on problems that have a real, human impact at scale. Healthcare is one of the most meaningful areas where technology can make a life-changing difference, not just in improving access but in reducing suffering and enabling better health outcomes.”
“At the same time, the opportunity to build from India for the world is deeply compelling for me. India today has the talent and capability to build platforms that can scale globally, and Practo has already demonstrated that. I’m looking forward to building on this foundation and contributing to the next phase of its global journey,” he further added.
The appointment follows the recent addition of Cijo George as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence, as Practo continues to build out its technology leadership team.
