NITI Aayog on COVID-19 testing: Genome Sequencing of every sample is not possible

NITI Aayog Member Dr. VK Paul has said, “The Genome Sequencing of every sample is not possible.”

Speaking on the question asked by the press on Genome Sequencing, Dr. VK Paul said, “It is a surveillance — pandemic assessment and tracking tool, not a diagnostic tool as of now.”

“But, We can assure sufficient systematic sampling is being undertaken,” He added.
