Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced to provide COVID-19 vaccine for free of cost in the state.
Addressing the state on Saturday, CM Pinarayi Vijayan said, “The Government has planned to offer COVID-19 vaccine completely free for its people.”
“The state has reported 5,949 new COVID-19 cases and 32 deaths, taking the total cases to 6.64 lakh and death to 2,594 till December 12, 2020,” he said.
“59,690 samples were tested in last 24 hours and the test positivity rate was 9.97 percent,” he added.
“5,268 people getting cured daily, taking the total recovery rate to 6,01,861 while the activity case stood at 60,029,” it added.
CM Pinarayi Vijayan also urged people to exercise extreme caution against the spread of the disease, or otherwise, the situation in the state would worsen.
