In a bid to secure people from contacting with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced the complete ban of 21 days in the nation.
While addressing the nation, PM Modi said that “It is imposing the nationwide lockdown of 21 days, and requesting everyone to stay at home and not to come out on the streets.”
“The next 21 days are critical from contacting the spread of coronavirus on India,” he added.
During the address to the nation, PM Modi said, “The lockdown of 21 days is a long time, but this is important for you and your family’s safety. I believe that every Indian will not only successfully tackle this challenge but also emerge victorious in this time of crisis.”
Prime Minister Modi also requested people to practice social distancing to break the cycle of the spread of the coronavirus infections.
