PNG Health Minister: Facebook COVID-19 misinformation is threat to vaccination drive

Papua New Guinea’s Health Minister Jelta Wong has called, “Misinformation post on COVID-19 vaccine on Facebook is the biggest threat to the vaccination drive.”

In an online event organized by Sydney’s Lowy Institute think tank, Minister Jelta Wong said, “Dangerous posts and anti-vax conspiracy theories on Facebook are hampering the drive to get people to seek treatment and testing for the disease as infection numbers soar.”
