Massachusetts-based analytical laboratory instrument and software firm, Waters Corporation, has announced a $16 million investment in setting up a global capability center at Bengaluru‘s RMZ Ecoworld.
The announcement was made during a meeting with a business delegation from Karnataka, led by M B Patil, the state’s Large and Medium Industries & Infrastructure minister, in Boston on Thursday.
During the meeting, Waters Corporation President & CEO Udit Batra discussed the company’s strategic investment plans with Minister M B Patil and his delegation.
The company also expressed its interest in collaborating with local pharmaceutical giants in Karnataka to explore the production of biosimilars for potential export to international markets.
In addition to the investment announcement, the delegation toured Waters Corporation’s analytical instrument-manufacturing factory to gain a deeper understanding of cutting-edge technology that could revolutionize the life sciences and material testing sectors.
