India’s largest private company Reliance Industries (RIL) has announced its plan to host a virtual annual general meeting (AGM) on 15 July 2020.
In a statement issued to the BSE, RIL said, “It will hold its 43rd AGM through video conferencing or other audiovisual means (OAVM) in accordance with the relevant circulars issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the SEBI.”
“The company has fixed 08 July 2020 as the ‘Cut-off Date’ for the purpose of determining the members eligible to vote on the resolutions set out in the notice of the AGM or to attend the AGM,” the company in its filing said.
Adding to the statement, Reliance said, “The company has fixed 03 July 2020 as the ‘Record Date’ for the purpose of determining the members eligible to receive a dividend for the financial year 2019-20, and the dividend, if declared at the AGM, will be paid within a week from the conclusion of the AGM.”
Earlier Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) held its virtual AGM on 11 June 2020.
