Uddhav Thackeray led Maharashtra government and signed MoUs collectively worth Rs 5,000 crore with three Chinese companies.
In a statement issued, the government officials said, “The Maharashtra government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 16,000 crore with 12 companies from different countries, including three Chinese companies.”
“The MoUs were signed under the ‘Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0’ initiative,” the statement added.
Adding to the statement, officials said, “All three Chinese companies Hengli Engineering, PMI Electro Mobility Solutions JV with Photon and Great Wall Motor will invest in Talegaon in Pune District.”
“As per the MoUs, Hengli Engineering will invest Rs 250 crore, PMI will invest Rs 1,000 crore, and Great Wall Motors will invest Rs 3,770 crore to set up automobile company in the state,” the statement added.
