IndiGo Airline‘s parent company, InterGlobe Aviation Limited disclosed it received an income tax demand and penalty order of KWD 448,793 (INR 13.16 crore) from Kuwait’s Department of Inspection and Tax Claims for assessment years 2021–22 to 2024–25.
In a stock exchange filing, the company said, “The order was received on December 8 from Kuwait’s Inspection Controller and Acting Director, and includes an income tax demand and penalty for the reviewed financial years.”

The company said it believes the demand is erroneous and noted that its position is supported by advice from external tax advisors, adding that it intends to pursue appropriate legal recourse against the order.
The order does not have any significant impact on its financials, operations or other ongoing activities, it further added.
