Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has reported an increase of 1.45 percent in its total sales for February at 5,05,467 units compared to 4,98,242 units for the same month last year.
In a filing with the exchange, Hero MotoCorp said, “The total sale for motorcycles was decreased by 3.25 percent at 4,63,723 units last month as against 4,79,310 in February 2020.”
“Total cooter sales have increased by over twofold to 41,744 units as against 18,932 units for the same month previous year,” the filing added.
The company has reported a marginal increase in its domestic market sales to 4,84,433 units last month as compared to 4,80,196 units for the same month a year ago.
Commenting on the sale, the company said, “The growth in sales despite the ongoing challenges on account of supply chain issues that the industry is facing has been possible due to the state of preparedness and quick countermeasures taken by the company.”
“Hero MotoCorp remains optimistic about growth in the coming months, as a credible recovery in the Indian economy and a positive momentum towards personal mobility is likely to further strengthen the demand for two-wheelers,” it added.
“The company’s export in February 2021, stood at 21,034 units as compared with 18,046 units for the same month a year ago,” the filing added.
