Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih said that “there is no change in the Kingdom’s long-standing policy.”
Speaking with the media on Monday, Khalid al-Falih said that “No, Absolutely not. there is no change to our long-standing policy on trading Oil in US dollars.”
It is important to understand that the statement from the Saudi’s Energy had come at a time when the Reuters last week reported that “Saudi Arabia is threatening to sell its oil in currencies rather than selling in dollars if Washington passes a bill exposing OPEC members to US antitrust lawsuits.”
