Tesla enters in India, setups company in Bengaluru

The U.S. based electric vehicle manufacturers Tesla Inc has registered its Indian subsidiary ‘Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Limited’.

According to the document submitted at the Registrar of Companies (ROC), said, “Tesla India will be headed by Vaibhav Tanjea, Venkatrangam Sreeram, and David Jon Feinstein.”

“The company was registered on 8 January 2021, with the Registrar of Companies (Karnataka), and it will have a headquarter in Bengaluru,” It added.

In December 2020, Union Minister for Transportation and SMEs, Nitin Gadkari said, “Tesla will begin its operations with sales first and then maybe look at the assembly and manufacturing based on the response to the cars.”
