Benjamin Netanyahu: Thank You President Donald Trump for Calling Hamas to Release Hostages

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump for his recent call for Hamas to release hostages.

“I want to thank President Trump for his strong statement yesterday about the need for Hamas to release the hostages,” Netanyahu told reporters.

Trump in a post on social media site Truth Social said, “Please let this serve as notice that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date I assume office as President of the United States, there will be serious consequences in the Middle East for those responsible for these atrocities against humanity.”
