US-based cryptocurrency exchange platform Gate.io has listed Litecoin (LTC) under its meme coin category.
The announcement was made on Friday via the company’s official Twitter account, where Gate.io stated, “We are now officially the first major exchange to have listed @litecoin under the memecoin section. Send it.”
Litecoin, often called ‘digital silver’ for its reputation as a reliable and utility-focused cryptocurrency, is currently trading at $88.69, reflecting a 2.27% gain in the past 24 hours.
