Skoda India to increase its vehicle price by 2 percent from next year

A Czech automobile manufacturing company Skoda’s Indian arm, Skoda India on Monday announced that “it will be increasing the prices of all its models by 2 percent from next year.”

The Skoda in its statement said that “The company has considered a price hike after reviewing its input and freight costs on both domestic and import fronts.”

Skoda India Director of Sales, Service and Market, Zac Hollis said that “There has been a surge in the cost of our inputs for production due to significant volatility in the global commodity prices and foreign exchange rates in recent times.”

Zac also said that “It has been absorbing these incremental costs all this while but is now considering a price hike of up to 2 percent with effect from next month across its model range.”

It is interesting to know that, Last week Maruti Suzuki India and Isuzu Motors had also announced the price hike from January too.
