Indian Oil declines the Aadhaar data leak report on Indane Website

One of India’s largest Oil and Gas company, Indian Oil on Tuesday has wholly denied the Aadhaar data leak news which done through Indane Gas website.

The company in its statement said that “As our (India Oil) software only captures Aadhaar number which required for LPG subsidy transfer and the Indian Oil stores no other details, hence data leakage of Aadhaar data is not possible through our website.”

The statement from the company has come in response to the TechCrunch reports, which reported the security flaw which was accessible on Indane Gas website which has left several million Aadhaar numbers of users with other details.”
