Coronavirus Outbreak: Air passengers from Singapore and Thailand will be screened at Mumbai

With the effort to secure the citizens from the coronavirus infection, the government of Maharashtra on Monday said, “From February 3, the air passengers from Singapore and Thailand will also be screened at Mumbai airport.”

The official in its statement said, “We have decided to add Singapore and Thailand in our list for screening.”

“The government has also decided to appoint a team of 25 health officials at the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to assist the personnel at the airport in screening passengers who are arriving at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport in Mumbai,” the statement said.

Adding to the statement the official said: “The government has also issued an order to deploy health officials from neighboring Thane district at Mumbai international airport for the screening purpose.”
