Reliance Jio launches AR wearable ‘Jio Glass’

Reliance Jio on Wednesday announced the launch of its new Augmented Reality wearable ‘Jio Glass.’

Speaking at the RIL Annual General Meeting, Kiran Thomas, President of Reliance Industries said, “The new Jio Glass is aimed at enhancing the virtual space by making it more interactive by using 3D avatars, holographic content and even normal video conferencing features.”

“Weighing at 78 gms, Jio Glass comes with personalized audio. The company will provide a simple cable to connect with the smartphone to access the content on devices,” Kiran said.

Adding to the statement, Kiran further said, “The company will also allow design discussions by sharing 3D holograms, and the glass will get support from 25 apps for now.”
