Speaking on the expectations from the upcoming budget 2023, Sumit Sabharwal, CEO of TeamLease HRtech said that “The Union Budget 2023 should prioritize creating a conducive environment for businesses and job creation.”

“The current economic uncertainty is leading to a slowdown in some sectors and causing layoffs and hiring freezes. In this scenario, the Union Budget should focus on encouraging investment in startups and small businesses to boost job creation,” Sabharwal said.

Further adding to the whishlist, Sabharwal said, “Digitalization should also be emphasized to improve employee and company productivity, both in the private and public sectors, and taxation on sectors like HR Tech and IT can also be relooked at to support hyper-growth.”
