During the Union Budget 2021 presentation, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has proposed an allocation of Rs 2,23,846 crore for the health and wellbeing sector.

“Out of Rs 2,23,846 crore, Rs 35,000 crore will be allocated for COVID-19 vaccine,” FM said.

“India has two more COVID-19 vaccines available and has begun safeguards not only our citizens against pandemic but also those 100 or more countries,” she added.
