Nissan temporarily suspends two assembly plants in Japan

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co has announced to temporarily suspend the productions at its two domestic assembly plants due to an earthquake that hit northeastern Japan.

Speaking on the development, Nissan spokesperson said, “The assembly plants at Oppama and Shonan plants located in Kanagawa prefecture will halt the production on Feb 22, and Feb 23 due to delay in supply of parts after the earthquake.”
