Ashok Leyland reports a 37% decline in February sales

India’s leading automaker, Ashok Leyland, has reported a 37 percent decline in its total February sales at 11,475 units as compared to 18,245 units in the same month last year.

In a released statement on Monday, Ashok Leyland said, “The company has reported a decline of 37% in its February sales at 11,475 units as compared to 18,245 units in the same month a year ago.”

“The company has also reported a decline of 39 percent in its domestic vehicle sales, which stood at 10,612 units in the last month, against 17,352 units in February 2019,” the statement said.

Adding to the statement, the company said, “The sale of total medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market was at 47 percent down to 6,745 units as against 12,621 units for the same month of last year.”

“Whereas the light commercial vehicle sales stood at 3,867 units, with an 18 percent drop in February sales, compared to 4,731 units in February last year,” the statement added.
