The Government of Maharashtra on Friday said, “It has fixed the price of Remdesivir injection at Rs 2,360 apiece.”
Addressing the press on the COVID-19 situation in the state, Dr. Pradeep Vyas, Principal Secretary, Public health and family welfare said, “Remdesivir injections will be provided for free of cost in the state-run hospital but as the private hospitals are also treating the COVID-19 patients. The government has fixed the price of a single dose at Rs 2,360.”

“The government has also put together a list of 50 pharmaceutical outlets, where the injection will be available for purchase. These outlets cover all major cities, towns, and districts,” Dr. Vyas said.
The Food and Drug Administration has also issued the order for the same.
